Rt. 123 Comedy is Northern Virginia's local comedy night that brings together hilarious comedians from the region!
Hailing from North Carolina, Anthony Oakes is a District of Columbia resident who is taking comedy and storytelling on the east coast by storm. A natural comedian, Anthony, has hit the ground running. His clean-esque, yet edgy, southern, intellectual, witty humor will have you reeling with laughter.
Anthony is a recipient of DC Mayor Muriel Bowser's prestigious Mayoral Arts Award for Excellence in the Performing Arts.
Kade Wonders is your little brother, your big brother, and your lesbian aunt packed into one pint sized package. They use their playful and disarming sense of humor to bring audiences together to laugh about gender, masculinity, and the goofiness of everyday life. They're a regular for Don't Tell Comedy Richmond, and have performed at the DC Improv, DC Comedy Loft, The Elysian Theater, Rogue Island Comedy Festival, and Vermont Comedy Festival. They've opened for headliners including Nico Carney, Heather Shaw, and Michael Yo.
A former conservative newspaper reporter turned openly trans comedian (not exactly the typical Washington career arc!), Jamie Mack has performed at the DC Comedy Loft, Union Stage, Story District, Theatre Lab and dozens of other venues around Washington and Baltimore. In December 2025, Jamie was profiled on the front page of The Washington Post in a story that explored identity, transformation and humor as a means for resilience and connection. "A natural onstage," The Post wrote of Jamie.
Sandi Benton is a New York-based comedian by way of Washington, DC. Described as "your friend's weird sister," Sandi delivers autobiographical jokes with enthusiasm and warmth. Her joyfully anxious comedy covers everything from her experience growing up with a trach to navigating recovery from addiction. Her vulnerability resonates with audiences at clubs and theaters across the country. She’s performed at festivals all over the US, including SF Sketchfest, Treefort, and Rubber City Comedy Festival. She was featured on Voices of America and has opened for Nicole Byer, Hannah Berner, Chad Daniels, and more. Her first special "Little Chicken" comes out this spring.
