As a Volunteer Ambassador for Capital One Hall in Tysons, Virginia you can help build a sense of community for Capital One Center, the Capital One campus.
Capital One Hall will offer a diverse and robust mix of performances, host private social functions as well as corporate, private and community events. Our Volunteer Ambassadors will offer assistance to the Capital One Hall staff, its audience members, and the general public in many different capacities. Volunteer opportunities are offered year-round.
Ushers/Ticket Takers at Capital One Hall Corporate and Social Events – Ushers/ticket takers complement the front-of-house experience by welcoming patrons to Capital One events including in the Main Performance Theater and The Vault, the 225 seat Black Box Theater. Ushers/ticket takers will assist regular Capital One Hall and Capital One corporate front of house staff by directing patrons to proper venue locations and amenities, scanning tickets, escorting patrons to their seats, distributing programs, emergency evacuation procedures, and more.
Hours: Volunteers must be available to greet at least two events per month. Most commercial and non-profit performances are on evenings during the week and/or weekends.
Qualities Needed: Friendly and outgoing personality; self-motivated.
Greeter at ArtsFairfax Programs - Volunteer Ambassadors will participate in greeting and assisting patrons at Fairfax County non-profit arts programs including symphonic performances, professional and community-based dance performances, and participation in educational programs tied to commercial events such as Broadway talkbacks and drama distance learning curriculums and comedic student improvs.
Hours: 7 days a week at various times.
Qualities Needed: Cheerful, friendly, and outgoing personality.
Tour Guide - Capital One Hall offers scheduled, private booked tours 12 months a year, based upon availability. The maximum size of tours is up to 20visitors on a one-hour walk throughout the complex, providing insight into the Hall’s architecture and happenings. Individuals who are comfortable with school groups and elderly community groups are preferred.
Hours: Tours are limited to Friday mornings from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
Qualities Needed: Volunteers must have a sense of humor, have an ongoing personality, be comfortable in a group setting and have good physical stamina. We are looking for upbeat individuals who love music, theater and have a real sense of community. Tours will include Fairfax County and area “fun facts”.
Administrative Staff Support - Volunteer Ambassadors who provide staff support and assist with daily administrative office duties and projects including Broadway subscriber support. Typical tasks include general office support.
Hours: Shift periods are limited to Mondays through Fridays during the normal workday and are in a minimum of a 4-hour block.
Qualities Needed: Detail-oriented and able to follow directions; self-motivated to finish projects.
